In February 2012, KCUMB medical students and faculty worked with students and faculty from the University of Missouri-Kansas City to provide care to more than 2,800 patients in Guatemala, many of whom had not seen a physician in years. Patients were provided with a diagnosis and medications free of charge, and many received osteopathic manipulative treatments for the first time in their lives.
